CoolCities 2 (TDIC)

Liwa is one of the ignored tourism places in Abu Dhabi. TDIC or Tourism Development and Investment Company rediscovered that place and planed to build the Antara Resort and Spa Qasr Al Sarab. Qaser Al Sarab means the palace of mirage. This five star hotel will be built about seven kilometers from the main Hamim highway. This is located in the middle of the desert.

Since, TDIC is a commercial company. It will concentrate about its profit no matter what happened. This project has no energy save plan and there is a lot to be done to meet the environmental roles. I support that idea because it will increase the tourism but in the mean time it will increase the pollution and will consume energy too. This is being produced from unenviromental energy production.

I think it will be better if the project built in green way. This will keep the environment and tourism in its side.

Cool Cities

The industrial revolution was one of the main points that changed planet earth since then. It was positively effected our lifestyle. However, at the mean time, it increased the amount of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) that the people were used to emit. Moreover, it sharply increased the consumption of the plant resources. Which means we are consuming more than what we need. Therefore, we need to find another planet to get more resources, if we kept consuming at that rate. Which is 'hmm um not going to say impossible but' very tough for us. That’s why we should consider reducing our consumption and our green gases emission to our beloved planet. If we are doing that in our city, then it will be called a cool city. A Cool City means a city with industry revolution and recycling but with out any pollution to our green planet.

The carbon footpring

The carbon footprint is a "measure of the impact that human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide". The carbon footprint could be calculated in most of website that concerned in environment such as http://footpringt.wwf.org.uk or http://www.myfootpring.org. You will go through multiple choice questions that ask you about your activities and your usual food and how your house got the electricity and estimate your carbon footprint. It also shows you the most three category that produces carbon. Moreover, it gives you some advises about how you can reduce your emission.
The three ways I contribute most to greenhouse gases are my eating habit and the way I live. Therefore I should maintain my eat habit and my lifestyle.

Enviromental Picture

My oppinion on IT

Different people have different opinions about the Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient truth". In my point of view, I can say it's a very nice movie; in which it talks about an essential part for the human being. It indicates how much serious the problem is "global warming". Moreover, Al Gore was a an excellent presenter to the global warming, and how it may affect us in the future. His points were obvious, clear, and straight. Al Gore ideas were well organized and well connected. In addition, the movie was presented in an amazing way, in which it really attracts the watcher to watch it carefully.
In conclusion , It's very important for people to watch the movie; since it would help the new generation find a solution to such great issue.

The Inconvenient Truth

Mr. Al Gore a U.S environmental advocate presented the Inconvenient Truth . In his first sight, he began to demonstrate the beauty of the earth. Mr. Al Gore is trying to explain the outcomes of worldwide warming. He explained the huge majority of the land mass and vegetation on Earth. The enormous mass of it is in the north equator, the land mass of the earth is very little and it is in the south of equator, and nearly all of vegetation is in the north of the equator.

Another disaster is that the glaciers keep moving away each year. There are around 40% of people on the earth obtain their drinking water from rivers and springs systems which are mainly resourced by the ice which it started to melt.
Mr. Al Gore compared between the temperature in the Northern Hemisphere and CO2 concentrations in the past 1000 years, approximately they were strongly fits together.

In addition, global warming is heating the ocean which leads to have storms. Unfortunately, it destroys the building and roads. Additionally, both hot and cold winds which is called Ocean Conveyor causes the Great Lakes to be formed.
Mr. Al Gore indicated three factors that integrated the consequences of global warming. First, was the increasing in population which puts more demands on the earth, water, food, and vulnerable natural demand. Second, was the scientific and technology. Third, was our way of thinking; in which it assist helping us to think about the consequences of global warming before it’s too late. Moreover, we can help the economy by using more efficient domestic devices.

In conclusion, the emission of CO2, which is kept between the atmosphere and the lands, and causes to heat up the earth causes the global warming. It is a serious problem which vigor us to change our way of living.

Introduction to Global Warming

The Global Warming is the most important environmental problem in the world. It caused by green house gasses that are emits from Power Plants, Cars, Airplanes and even buildings. These gasses spread in the atmosphere around the globe forming a very thin layer that let the sunlights through that layer but not out from it which keeps the temperature raising. What if the temperature is kept rising? All the ice in both polar areas will melt and the seas will flood over the coastal cities and even more areas of the land will be flooded. We can avoid this disaster by reducing the amount of green house emitted in the atmosphere. I think it is an international problem. Moreover, every one should help in solving it forever. Scientists found the solutions but there is no serious action for solving that problem. Using of solar energy instead of power plants for generating electricity is one of these solutions. We should do something before it is too late.
